The fitting consists of a stainless steel body with a push-in collet, a release ring, and an O-ring seal. The male thread connects to a port, and the push-in end accepts a tube. To install, insert the tube into the fitting until it bottoms out; the collet grips the tube and the O-ring provides a seal. To remove, push the release ring and pull the tube out. These fittings are commonly used in compressed air systems, automation equipment, and instrumentation lines. They are suitable for both vacuum and pressure applications, depending on the tube and conditions.
